Gidouille Creator

There’s only one shape you can (and must) explore: the Gidouille.
Round. Spiral-like. Free.
A graphic and conceptual sign, the symbol of absurdity, paradox, and pataphysics.

But what exactly is a Gidouille?

Born from the imaginative world of Alfred Jarry, the gidouille is the spiral drawn on the belly of Père Ubu. It became the emblem of Pataphysics, the “science of imaginary solutions.”
It represents nothing specific, yet it contains everything: irony, madness, creative freedom.

Gidouille Creator is a web-based app specially created by Patakosmos for you – the dreamers, the absurdists, the spiral-makers.
It doesn’t let you draw just anything. It invites you to make one thing, and one thing only: your Gidouille.
A single gesture. Circular. Symbolic. Personal.

What you can do:

  • Draw only one thing: a Gidouille.
  • Explore circular form in all its variations: spirals, vortices, concentric loops, free-flowing curves… as long as it’s round.
  • Let go of logic. Follow the gesture.
  • Save your creation, share it, or send it to become part of a collective gidouillesque archive.

It’s not a drawing. It’s an act. A declaration of your inner spiral.

We invite you to:

Enter the Gidouille Creator

Draw your own Gidouille (just one, but from the soul)
Save it and submit it, to someone—or to the void

All Gidouilles are collected in our gallery on Patakosmos: Gidouilles Gallery

BEFORE YOU SEND IT:
You’ll be asked to accept the disclaimer directly in the submission form.
Gidouille Creator and the Gidouille Gallery are part of an artistic and pataphysical experiment.
Each spiral is ephemeral, not always recoverable, and absolutely unrepeatable.
By submitting, you accept to spiral into the unknown.
